Production of semidry wines is based on partial fermentation of sugar without addition of alcohol to the mass. The average strength of semidry wines is 9 to 14%. There fore, wines of this kind are ideal for family parties.

 

Semidry wines are distinguished by their neutral flavor. Their position in between the sweet and the sour taste makes it possible to combine these wines with virtually any food. Semidry varieties leave a slight sweet aftertaste. They may be used for making cocktails and wine punches, and also for stewing meat.
